Given our rural location, all candidates must have a reliable way to get themselves to and from the farm each day. We are unable to offer housing.

We are a close-knit team of three growers who have been farming together for the past 8 years. We are looking for a fourth person to be a part of our team. We are driven, goofy, podcast loving, seltzer consuming, food enthusiasts who enjoy sharing in the fruits of our labor both big and small.
Our weeks are a mix of seeding, transplanting, trellising, hand-cultivation, harvest and wash/pack. We use our tractor to spread compost, prepare beds, and transplant crops. In all of our tasks we are always striving to find a balance between speed and quality controls. We rely on daily meetings, clear and direct communication, as well as constructive feedback to promote smooth weekly operations.
Being a part of the Plane Meadow team offers a wide range of experience as everyone is involved with all aspects of production. We are keen to provide everyone with the opportunity to grow into more specific areas of interest and take on new responsibilities as the season and skillsets progress.

While one or more years of farming experience is ideal, we strongly encourage folks with less experience to reach out. Additionally, candidates with experience in food and farm adjacent industries are invited to apply.
This is a full-time position, we generally work a 40hr week with some longer days during the high season. Compensation ranges from $20-25/hour depending on experience, plus earned paid time off and 3 sick days. Returning employees are given annual raises as well as an end of year bonus. Applicants should be able to start in early April and work through December, with weekend availability. The start date is flexible upon discussion.
